Your Mission as Senior Tax Manager
At Viessmann, tax is more than a compliance function—it is a strategic enabler of sustainable business growth. As Senior Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop our tax function as we enter a new chapter of expansion and transformation. Your leadership will ensure that our tax framework not only meets today’s regulatory requirements but anticipates future complexities in an evolving global tax landscape.
Your mission is to lead and optimize Viessmann’s global tax strategy, focusing on key areas such as corporate income tax (domestic and international), BEPS Pillar II, VAT, and transfer pricing.
Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring compliance while identifying opportunities for efficiency and long-term financial sustainability. Beyond compliance, you will be instrumental in shaping Viessmann’s tax philosophy, ensuring that our tax structure supports business expansion, aligns with sustainability goals, and reinforces our role as a responsible global corporate citizen.
Imagine a day where you’re not just reviewing tax calculations but actively influencing Viessmann’s global tax strategy. Management of the corporate income tax compliance process for German entities (e.g. coordination of the tax returns procedure in cooperation with external tax advisors).
As the first point of contact, management of tax audits (especially of German entities).
Support regarding Tax Reporting purposes (in particular Current and Deferred Taxes); Support regarding VAT and Real Estate related Tax topics.
Management of Transfer Pricing related matters (e.g. Implement and monitor BEPS Pillar II requirements, adapting to international regulatory changes and ensuring Viessmann stays ahead of global tax developments.
Management / coordination of external tax advisors.
Educate and empower internal teams, ensuring tax awareness is embedded in decision-making across the organization.
A degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or Law, with extensive experience in international and German taxation.
Certification as German tax advisor.
Current and Deferred Taxes, BEPS Pillar II etc.), VAT and international tax (incl. A strong understanding of global tax trends and regulatory changes.
Fluency in German (C1) and English (C1).
