Description As a Desktop Support Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person when things don’t work as they should. Some days you’ll be setting up new devices for colleagues, other days you’ll be fixing stubborn software issues – and in between, you’ll make sure our systems stay secure, up-to-date, and high-performing. In short: you’ll keep things running so everyone else can do their job without tech headaches. Responsibilities You’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring our hardware and software systems are reliable, secure, and running at peak performance. Your day-to-day will include: Troubleshoot and repair laptops & desktops when issues pop up Perform upgrades, swap out hardware, and keep IT inventory organized Handle onboarding and offboarding for employees (remote & onsite) Keep systems updated, secure, and optimized for performance Respond to support requests via tickets, email, calls, or walk-ups – and always stay on top of priorities Communicate clearly and helpfully so users stay happy Deploy devices and install/upgrade software (Windows) Track and document tickets & tasks so nothing slips through the cracks Qualifications An IT apprenticeship (e.g., Fachinformatiker) or a comparable qualification / relevant hands-on experience 2–3 years of experience in Desktop Support (Level 2) or a similar role Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software & networks (bonus points for networking experience) Excellent communication skills in both German and English A self-starter mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle priorities Passion for IT support and the drive to always deliver great service Sounds like you?
