Product Stewardship and Regulatory (PS&R) is a cross-functional process which seeks to understand and minimize the impacts to human health and the environment throughout a product’s life-cycle—production, transport, use, and end-of-life management. DuPont is a leading company in the full utilization of SAP’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Product Safety module for managing global regulatory compliance across many diverse specialty product businesses.
The EMEA SAP EH&S Hazard Communications Senior Specialist f/m position offers a challenging opportunity to lead the Company EMEA HAZCOM compliance program, including the hazard classification of products and generation of EU compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels as well as management of compliance projects to respond to rapidly changing EMEA regulatory environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee EMEA HAZCOM management processes to ensure robust and sustainable outcomes
2. Drive compliance projects to meet emerging EMEA HAZCOM related requirements
3. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives and projects
4. Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data issues
5. Address business and customer enquiries and concerns relating to SDS and label
6. Participate in relevant regulatory forums such as CEFIC
7. Understand and comply with company confidential business information (CBI) requirements
8. Collaborate in global PS&R networks
Qualifications:
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field of study (e.g. chemical engineering, chemistry) or equivalent
10. Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP EH&S systems and data model
11. Minimum 5 years’ experience in EU Chemical regulations, in particular REACH and CLP
12. Experience in managing and executing regulatory compliance projects
13. Working knowledge of GHS
14. Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
15. Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills
16. Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience
17. Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project outcomes in a timely manner
18. High level of proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
19. Understanding of toxicology in relation to hazard classification
20. Knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship
