We are currently working on behalf of a global engineering business, renowned for its multidisciplinary expertise and commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, environment, and building design.
At the moment, we are looking for top performers to lead the IT Infrastructure for this global business, overseeing a department of 15-20 people. Ideally, someone who would take ownership of this critical function and drive the ongoing technological advancement of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include :
* Taking full professional, organisational, and business management responsibility for the entire IT department, steering performance through KPI's and SLA's.
* Spearheading the further development and seamless integration of their Microsoft system landscape (SharePoint, Office 365, Azure) to build a future-proof, secure, and highly scalable IT infrastructure.
* Initiating, leading, and actively contributing to crucial digitisation and IT projects to optimise internal processes and introduce cutting-edge technologies.
* Working hand-in-hand with the CTO of the holding company and external partners, managing contracts and contributing to strategic IT planning.
* Taking ownership of budget planning, control, and optimisation, ensuring the IT department operates with maximum economic efficiency.
You will have a significant impact on the business by defining and improving the existing and future infrastructure. Inspiring the team to grow more self-organised, setting up technical roadmaps and supporting the CTO in developing the technology strategy.
The basic requirements are as follows :
* Strong track record of people leadership & coaching qualities in a digital environment - ideally, larger operations teams of 10+, with several years of previous expereince
* Know how to shape an operations department on a cultural, practice and process level
* Deep knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, along with a strong track record in the conception, implementation, and ongoing development of robust IT infrastructures and the successful management of projects and external providers.
* A strong aptitude for developing and implementing innovative IT strategies that drive the company's digital transformation.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels, including effective collaboration with company management, specialist departments, and external service providers.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced & ever-growing environment
* Permanent employment basis, full-time remote in Germany or based in the office if you wish. HQ is located in Munich
* Salary Range - 100,000 - 150,000 EUR (depending on experience) + company car and further benefits
