We are seeking a Country Finance Director for Hitachi Energy in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The role reports to the Country Managing Director (CMD) and functionally to the Regional Finance Director (RFD). The main responsibilities include supporting the CMD and local sales teams in demand order growth, ensuring compliance with local finance and fiduciary requirements, and driving local finance management tasks. The position is preferably based in Switzerland.
How you will make an impact
1. Serve as the local speaking partner to the global CFO organization and act as the Senior Finance representative in the countries.
2. Ensure compliance with local fiduciary finance requirements, statutory GAAP, reporting, legal, and tax obligations, supported by internal organizations such as CSS and CPO.
3. Assist in developing financial and tax strategies, acquisitions, due diligence, and negotiations at the country level.
4. Maintain relationships with external auditors and represent Hitachi Energy locally, engaging with authorities, multilateral organizations, and other stakeholders.
5. Build strong relationships with key customers at a senior level.
6. Support global CFO organization with talent development and building functional competence.
Your Background
1. Proven financial management experience in a large international organization, ideally with experience as CFO or CFD in a mid to large-sized company.
2. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and coach teams.
4. Deep knowledge of German/Swiss GAAP and local fiduciary rules and regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end.
6. Strategic thinking with strong planning skills and business acumen, combined with a hands-on approach when necessary.
7. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
8. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
9. Willingness to travel approximately 40% (every two weeks four days in Germany).
