We are simple system, a fast-growing B2B SaaS company based in Munich and Cologne, developing industry-leading procurement software including a state-of-the-art B2B marketplace for mid-sized businesses across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With 23,000 monthly users, 850 suppliers and partners, 150M in platform transaction volume, and a 40-person team, we are building the next generation of B2B commerce. And we're just getting started.
What we do :
Imagine this : A worker on the shop floor grabs the second-last pair of cut-resistant gloves from a smart shelf. The next day, 50 new gloves from the preferred supplier arrive automatically. The order is seamlessly booked into the customer's ERP, and the employee's personal budget is updated without anyone lifting a finger. We make this end-to-end automation a reality. Technologically, we map this complex multi-sided business model onto a modern, fully re-engineered tech stack. This enables us to rapidly develop and scale sophisticated use cases from pilot to full deployment with our customers, suppliers, and partners.
Team & Technology :
The engineering team works closely with business and product teams, impacting the product development roadmap and having full autonomy over the tools and technologies used. At simple system, we build the best product in the market by fighting for the best solutions internally, with the engineering perspective being on equal footing with the business and product perspectives. Our B2B solution has been designed and developed according to modern methodologies and principles. You will join a cross-functional team of highly experienced engineers who believe in creating great products and possess all the technical skills to make it happen. Occasionally, we meet to discuss key project matters and get to know each other during project workshops (on-site in Warsaw or Munich).
What you will do :
1. Lead and develop our cross-functional software engineering team of currently 13 engineers.
2. Own and evolve product architecture with a focus on flexibility, scalability, and sustainable quality.
3. Set engineering standards, foster best practices, and build an environment that empowers developers to thrive.
4. Work closely with product, business, and leadership to align technical decisions with customer needs and business goals.
5. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the leadership team.
Your profile
* Strong full-stack expertise.
* Proven track record in designing and scaling complex software architectures.
* Experience leading and developing engineering teams in a fast-paced, product-centric environment.
* Ability to reliably balance short-term delivery with long-term technical excellence.
* Pragmatic, hands-on leadership by example, with actual coding experience.
* Ideally, exposure to SaaS, B2B, and/or enterprise software contexts.
