About the Opportunity
Our client is an innovative technology company operating within the semiconductor and sensor industry, currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead manufacturing activities across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
This position is heavily focused on semiconductor manufacturing operations, with strong emphasis on external manufacturing management, assembly and final test activities, supplier engagement, and production ramp-up.
The role combines people leadership with operational ownership and would suit someone with a background in semiconductor manufacturing environments who enjoys driving performance across a complex global manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations with external manufacturing partners, subcontractors and suppliers
• Drive operational performance across quality, delivery, cost, and manufacturing efficiency
• Manage material planning and manufacturing readiness to support customer and business demand
• Support product ramp-up and high-volume manufacturing activities
• Oversee assembly and final test operations across manufacturing partners
• Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, quality and commercial teams
• Lead and develop a team while creating a strong operational culture
• Drive continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and supplier processes
• Support manufacturing transfer activities and process improvements where required
Your Background
• 7+ years of experience within semiconductor manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end semiconductor manufacturing process
• Experience with assembly and final test operations is essential
• Proven experience managing external manufacturing partners, subcontractors, foundries or OSAT environments
• Background in high-volume production and manufacturing ramp-up activities
• Previous people leadership experience is required
• Experience managing suppliers and manufacturing performance metrics
• Exposure to supply chain and material management processes
• Semiconductor backgrounds from companies such as NXP, STMicroelectronics, Nexperia, Infineon, onsemi, or similar environments would be highly relevant
• Fluent English and German (C1 minimum) required
