About Perosphere Technologies
Perosphere Technologies is changing the way decisions are made for patients at risk for bleeding. A private medical technologies company, Perosphere is focused on development and commercialization of the novel PoC (point-of-care) Coagulometer, which informs diagnosis, treatment, and prevention through precision data, made immediately accessible to all. It is the only point-of-care (POC) diagnostic tool that effectively and swiftly tests clotting times across drug classes, including Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs). The fast diagnosis and related appropriate treatment decisions the PoC Coagulometer enables will help establish a new standard of care in hospital emergency departments for patients at risk for bleeding and has the potential to improve efficiency, provide significant cost savings, and better patient outcomes.
Perosphere Technologies is funded by Advantage Capital Partners, Ambit Health Ventures, Connecticut Innovations, Ogden, and others, and has been awarded multiple federal grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
We are open to hiring candidates based in Germany or Europe for this position, which requires extensive travel throughout the European Union (~80% travel). This is NOT a US-based role.
The Director of Sales, Europe (ESD) will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration for the launch of Perosphere ClotChek in the European Region. The ESD will need to learn and understand the Perosphere ClotChek technology, the basics of haemostasis & coagulation, The ESD would have significant experience leading direct and indirect sales teams to work within the dynamics of a hospital and drive the business of innovative conceptual medical device sales. The ESD would lead a team of medical device sales professionals to introduce and expand the usage of a novel diagnostic medical device throughout a hospital and patients’ clinical pathway. The ESD would work independently but with the guidance of Sales and Executive Leadership.
Essential Responsibilities:
Execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive market penetration and revenue growth across Europe, starting with Germany & Ireland.
Lead and develop a direct (in certain markets) sales & support team to support the European Sales Strategy.
Train and support distributor network to ensure they are equipped with the necessary product knowledge and sales techniques. Demonstrate expertise with the Perosphere ClotChek.
Build Perosphere ClotChek sales process through multiple use cases and hospital stakeholders
Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage accounts, contacts, key activities & pipeline
Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to EVP, Sales.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
Attend industry conferences and events to promote Perosphere ClotChek and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the diagnostic device industry to impact strategic planning
Help identify, recruit, and manage additional distributor partnerships to maximize sales and market reach.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the medical device or diagnostics industry.
Experience managing distributor networks and driving results through indirect sales channels.
Strong understanding of the European healthcare market and regulatory environment.
Experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans, setting sales targets, and analyzing sales performance
Deep understanding of diagnostic competitive landscape and market trends
Ability to utilize a CRM tool to manage sales processes
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across Europe as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business fields preferred
Clinical knowledge of haematology & coagulation is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
Legally authorized to work in the European Union
