WE ARE LOOKING FOR A
Technical Assistant (m/f/div), part-time 50%
The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg is looking to fill a part-time (50%) position as Technical Assistant in Dr. Benoit Kanzler's Transgenic Mouse Unit (

). The position is available as soon as possible and is limited to two years.
YOUR TASKS:
* General lab support
* Independent implementation of projects and documentation after intensive training
* Genome editing experiments using CRISPR
In compliance with animal welfare regulations:
* Mouse preimplantation embryo production and manipulation
* Introduction of genome engineering reagents to mouse em-bryos by microinjection and electroporation
* Microinjection (or aggregation) of mouse embryonic stem cells into mouse embryos
* Transplantation of mouse embryos to oviducts and uteri
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
* BTA, CTA, MTA or comparable qualification
* A background in biology or biomedical field with a minimum of three years of experience is required
* Expertise in mouse engineering and embryonic stem cell manipulation would be a major asset
* Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies
* Fluency in both German and English languages
