Based in Munich, Paris, Rotterdam and Singapore, the Direct Lending platform is composed of 33 investment professionals. With approx. €10bn AUM, we invest in direct lending transactions in the European lower mid market and mid market, and we manage specialized lending strategies across Emerging Markets and Asia.
The role involves supporting the origination, structuring and execution of direct lending transactions in the DACH region, with a focus on untrenched solutions for our lower mid market impact strategy.
What you will do
• Lead execution of direct lending opportunities, including deliverables for investment committees, LBO modelling, due diligence reviews, and legal work streams
• Source and screen deal opportunities and develop indicative credit views in line with our lending guidelines and yield requirements
• Support origination and contribute to relationships with sponsors, advisors and management teams, especially in our lower mid market impact strategy
• Support the monitoring of portfolio companies and periodic credit reviews in collaboration with our asset management team, and support management of waivers and consent requests as well as stressed situations
• Contribute to quarterly investor reports, fundraising pitches, and support cross team projects within our broader private credit platform (incl. co investments, fund of funds and secondaries)
What you bring
• Meaningful experience (~5–10 years) in direct lending, private debt, leveraged finance or private equity–related fields
• Solid foundation in deal execution, credit analysis and stakeholder management, paired with strong analytical skills and the ability to form well reasoned credit judgements
• Understanding of the characteristics and competitive landscape of the direct lending market in the DACH region
• Experience in coordinating due diligence reviews and negotiating legal documentation
• High degree of ownership, a collaborative mindset and the capacity to train and mentor junior staff
• Interest in sustainability, transition financing and impact oriented credit strategies
• Eagerness to join a developing platform with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Fluency in English and German
• Ability to use Generative AI with knowledge of Microsoft CoPilot
