Senior Application Engineer: Engine Performance Simulation (m/f/d)
At Gamma Technologies, a leading multi‑physics CAE simulation software provider, we are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer, Engine Performance Simulation to join our team of engineers managing customer success, product enhancements, and technical support.
What You Will Do
* Assist customers in using our software to design and simulate engine systems, including charge exchange, combustion & emissions, acoustics, and real‑time modelling and virtual calibration.
* Use customer feedback to design and test new product features.
* Carry out proof‑of‑concept projects to demonstrate cutting‑edge software solutions to prospective customers and support software evaluations.
* Interact with automotive companies through training classes, conferences, and marketing events.
* Contribute to sales and marketing campaigns.
* Collaborate on the development of the software, specifying, validating, and testing new features.
* Periodically travel to customer sites and industry trade shows, domestically and internationally.
What You Will Bring
* A master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
* Three or more years of industry experience (highly preferred).
* Professional experience with internal combustion engine design, analysis and/or control (charge exchange, combustion, acoustics, thermodynamics).
* Experience with CAE tools, such as GT‑SUITE, AVL BOOST, AVL CRUISE M or Ricardo WAVE.
* Programming skills (e.g., Python or MATLAB) are a plus.
* Self‑starter, fast learner with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
* Proficient in English and German, both written and verbal.
