We are working with a global e-commerce business with warehouses across United Kingdom, USA, Canada and Australia, and are now looking to expand their reach across Europe, opening a new site from scratch in Berlin, Germany. Group revenue of over $1bn in 2024.
This role as Head of Overseas Business (Europe), will report in to the CEO in China and will be responsible for building their overseas business operation in Berlin from scratch, including finding warehouse space, building and managing a team, market research, managing compliance and regulations and marketing to launch the brand.
Key Duties:
* Build and manage a local team in Berlin.
* Find the most suitable site to be based from in Berlin.
* Develop and lead a innovative sales strategy to help meet the companies commercial objectives.
* Create a monthly and annual sales forecast for reporting to senior leadership teams to record progress against agreed targets.
* Develop sales opportunities and grow market share, establishing the sales network for both online and offline.
* Develop strategies for channel management and supply chain systems.
* Marketing and brand promotion to raise profile and generate sales pipeline.
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following background:
* A proven track record in starting and setting up from scratch large business units as part of global expansion plans, reporting in to a senior leadership team based in China.
* Those that can speak Chinese will have a big advantage.
* Strong experience in building, managing and motivating successful teams.
* Experience within large scale retail operations, supply chain management and distribution.
* Candidates with experience from international mobile phone industry may also be an advantage.
* Proven track record in being able to build a sales strategy and sales pipeline to deliver consistent revenue from scratch.
