Data Scientist
The Opportunity:
USEUCOM is establishing a modeling, simulation, and decision analytics program to produce and integrate operational modeling, simulation, and data analytics in support of Joint, Combined, and Coalition operations, planning, and decision-making. This new program will leverage digital technologies and analytic methodologies to inform planning, exercises, experiments, and wargames through models, simulations, and analytics of current and alternative operational environments. You will help understand probable adversary actions and their impacts on U.S., Alliance, and partner forces’ ability to operate in the USEUCOM AOR.
Your role will involve producing mission-relevant mathematical, statistical, and data models to answer key military operational questions, perform time series analyses, and estimate probabilities. You will support the integration of Service Component and Joint data sources within a bespoke cloud environment. Additionally, you will analyze Joint operations, capabilities, and experiments, communicating your findings to customers across USEUCOM and the Joint Staff.
You Have:
* 5+ years of experience developing data science algorithms, models, and capabilities, including advanced statistical and probability models such as Monte Carlo, Bayesian, or time series modeling
* 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
* 3+ years of experience in machine learning, natural language processing, operations research, data visualization, or geospatial analysis
* 3+ years of experience with relational and non-relational databases
* Ability to translate quantitative results for lay audiences
* TS/SCI clearance
* Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
* 1+ years of experience with cloud computing, including AWS or Azure
* Experience supporting the IC and DoD
* Experience applying data science techniques to intelligence or social science problem sets within the IC and DoD
* Experience with modeling and simulation efforts, including kinetic and non-kinetic problem sets
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other quantitative Social Science, Mathematical, or Computational field
Clearance: Applicants will be subject to a security investigation; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation:

The projected salary range is $99,000 to $225,000 annually, depending on various factors. This posting closes within 90 days from the posting date.
