0590 RESEARCH ASSISTANT (F/M/D) Functional Redox Proteomics The Plasma Redox Effects research group is seeking - subject to funding approval - at the Greifswald site for the first quarter of 2026 a RESEARCH ASSISTANT (F/M/D) Functional Redox Proteomics * (initially) limited to 36 months * Weekly working time 40 hours (suitable for part-time work with 27 hours per week including the possibility to pursue a doctorate) * Remuneration according to TV-L wage group 13 (gross salary range depending on professional experience, see renumeration table 2025 ) International team as a global leader in the field of plasma medicine Performance-based salary (TV-L) Retirement Pension Plan Creative working environment State-of-the-art technical facilities Opportunities for external training Internal trainings e.g. project management, scientific writing, acquisition of third-party funding Networking opportunities at national and international conferences Cooperation with science and industry Implementing of own project ideas Flexible Working Hours and Mobile Working Family's office 30 vacation days per year (plus: December 24 and 31) In-house German course free of charge Online Sports course ("Moving break") and internal sports groups Lounge with well-equipped kitchen for all employees YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifying oxidative changes in proteins and correlating them with a biological/immunological cell response; Cell culture of immune cells and molecular biological measurement methods (including flow cytometry); Measurement of oxidised proteins using mass spectrometry and evaluation of post-translational modifications; Investigation of various oxidants and cold plasmas and their influence on proteins and their immunogenicity; Analysis, interpretation and presentation of collected data and participation in writing scientific publications. YOUR PROFILE: Completed university degree (Master of Science or equivalent) in biology, (bio)chemistry, bioinformatics or a related field Doctorate optional Experience with bioanalytical methods (mass spectrometry, flow cytometry) Strong affinity for numbers and mathematics as well as a keen logical understanding Keen interest in interdisciplinary research of protein mechanisms of action Flexibility in scientific activities in the laboratory and office Problem-solving skills for decoding various modified biomolecules and their influence on cell response High level of commitment, motivation, ability to work independently, teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and reliability Very good German and English skills (spoken and written) as well as computer skills OUR INSTITUTE… ranks among the largest and most modern institutions in the field of low-temperature plasmas worldwide.
