Overview and key accountabilities
The Account Manager will be part of Revvity Gene Delivery`s global Sales Team.
The main role will be to manage territory specific sales activities and grow the business opportunities.
Responsibilities :
A- Sales Budget responsibility
* In charge of the Academic segment for Europe with management of demands outside Europe on opportunistic basis.
* Customer support via email, online conferences, by phone and on site
* Preparation and follow-up of quotations in coordination with the laboratory manager;
* Processing customer inquiries; technical inquiries in coordination with the person responsible for the laboratory;
* Manage the entire sale cycle from processing the inquiries and generating revenue to after-sales activities (including payable invoice tracking) if needed.
* Manage and coordinate the distributors activities in the appropriated territories
* Processing complaints in coordination with the person responsible for the laboratory, Head Global Business and QC (Complaint Management Process);
* Qualification of customer potentials;
* May participate to local trade fairs, including stand support.
* Replace and/or support colleagues in case of absence.
B- Business development support
* Expand the customer network by lead generation on determined accounts of interest
* Support acquisition of future large accounts together with Account Managers via Revvity businesses
* Tasked to grow out-of Europe territories by increasing the base of customers.
C- Maintenance of data records in SAP and other systems (e.g. CRM):
* Entering customer information, inquiries, meetings content, quotes, invoices, and general information into the different databases (SAP and CRM)
* Maintenance of the customer base
* May help to gather intelligence via running Voice of customer projects with customers.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a PhD in a Life Sciences discipline or a Master’s degree in Life Science with a good understanding of preclinical research.
* Have a good understanding of molecular biology, viral vectors, gene and cell therapy
* Be a fast learner with a growth mindset and the ability to positively adapt to change
* Be result oriented
* Enjoy working in an international environment
* Have excellent presentation and organizational skills including attention to detail, efficiency, and prioritization
* Be able to effectively communicate technical information and build strong personal relationships with highly technical scientists and lab managers
* Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German would be a plus)
* Be able to meet people, be an ice breaker, and be able to deal with people
* Be a team player, with a collaborative mindset but ability to also work autonomously

* Have strong skills in MS Office
