Human Rights Specialist 1
As a Human Rights Specialist 1, incumbent would perform a variety of field and office activities involved in carrying out anti-discrimination programs and promoting good community inter-group relationships designed to eliminate tension, conflict and hostility between various social, racial, ethnic and religious groups.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inform complainants, respondents and witnesses of their rights and responsibilities under the New York State Human Rights Law.
* Prior to a possible determination of a human rights violation attempt to help parties reach an acceptable resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:•Ten years of experience in investigation or law enforcement with detailed report preparation,•OR program planning development implementation enforcing human rights civil rights housing or labor relations,•litigation OR any combination above ten years. Education equivalents mentioned below.
Substitution:An associate degree related field can substitute for three years specialized experience; bachelor's degree related field substitutes four years for five master's sub six year doctorate when applicable hgc -n-t4aH
