Operations Manager Job Description
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fulfillment centers. This involves leading shifts, managing teams, and driving site performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and developing a team of Area Managers
* Leading operational teams and resolving issues to positively impact site performance
* Analyzing shift performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance operational excellence
* Collaborating with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
* Designing and delivering initiatives to improve operational performance
Your typical day will involve leading shifts at one of our operational sites, interacting with various teams, and contributing to innovation efforts. You will also mentor and coach your team, providing leadership and support to help them excel in their roles.
We are expanding our specialist fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the UK and Europe, offering opportunities for growth and development. As an Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence, improving site performance, and contributing to the success of our organization.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in a relevant field
* Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
* Advanced proficiency in the local language
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques (preferred)
* Expertise in logistical working environments and MS Office suite proficiency (preferred)
