Reports to: Business Director Job Overview The Accountant / Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the school’s debtor-related financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment monitoring, financial reporting, and collaboration with internal departments. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the school’s administration in budgeting and audit processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Debtor Management2. Liaison with the Förderverein (Friends of ISHR) RequirementsQualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR Professional accounting certification (“Steuerfachangestellte”/Tax Assistant) Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial administration, preferably in Germany Experience with financial software (Fibunet or similar ERP systems) Skills Excellent numerical and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools Strong organizational and time-management abilities High level of integrity and confidentiality Languages Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken Work Environment This position requires frequent interaction with teaching and non-teaching staff, families, external auditors, and financial partners. The role involves independent work as well as cross-departmental collaboration. It requires close and continuous collaboration with the Accounts Payable colleague to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and completeness of all financial transactions and reports.
