Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to help us advance healthcare by creating innovative solutions for healthcare providers as well as patients. Your role:
* Plan and execute the human-centered design process in alignment with project stakeholders and create the necessary usability documentation to ensure compliance with medical device regulations.
* Evaluate design concepts and prototypes with the involvement of representative users. Collaborate with designers and engineers to improve designs iteratively and incrementally.
* Plan, conduct, and report usability studies in compliance with usability regulations.
* Own and conduct comprehensive use-related risk assessments with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Contribute to effective teamwork, receive guidance, and be a proactive team player, offering a point of view.
You should bring the following:
* You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design Research or related discipline, or equivalent professional training experience.
* Your skills include experience with Usability standards and guidelines such as IEC 62366, FDA Guidance for Human-Factors and HE75.
* Your skills include experience with human-centered design methods, such as focus groups, interviews, contextual inquiries, usability evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
* You have demonstrable usability experience from relevant companies, agencies, institutions, or own consultancy.
* You independently work on project activities with a good understanding of budget and time constraints, driving efficiency, and facilitating design quality reviews.
* You are willing to work together with or consult business stakeholders, actively manage relationships, challenge the status quo to drive innovation, and step up for the user.
* You are willing to travel abroad for workshops and Usability studies.
* You are fluent in English, good german language skills preferred
