Data Architect (f/m/x)
In the Content & Solutions division, we are responsible for the portfolio of Haufe, including successful software products, high-reach news portals and modern AI solutions. We work in autonomous teams to create drive and passion and a strong willingness to exchange ideas and sparring.
For our newly structured "Strategy & Data Analytics" team, we are looking for a hands-on personality as a leading Data Architect (f/m/x) remote/ hybrid or in the Freiburg office.
What you can expect:
1. You develop a future-proof data architecture as the basis for business and product driven data analytics for the business unit COS, closely together with a cross-unit squad in Haufe Group
2. You review and improve the data system as a whole, inclusive of data model designs, process flows and end use cases
3. You set data architecture principles, standards and guidelines
4. You continuously review current data modelling principles and initiate any improvements to enable the implementation of the intended architecture
5. You create an inventory of the data and tools needed to implement a scalable data architecture
6. You help promote data innovation across Haufe/COS with a willingness to experiment and to confront hard and complex problems
7. You work closely together with the Head of Strategy & Data Analytics and Head of Technology and side by side with the data analytics team
What you bring with you:
8. 3-5+ Years in the data space as an architect or engineer
9. 3-5+ Years of professional experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala or others.(Python preferred)
10. Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT
11. Extensive understanding of analytical engineering and SQL
12. Experience using dbt to create new and expand the existing data model
13. Demonstrated experience in managing the same data model & architecture over time, evolving the model to meet business requirements
14. Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation
15. Flexibility to work at Campus Freiburg at least once a month for three consecutive days
