This role involves translating customer needs and market trends into robust technical specifications, overseeing development of Vehicle Control Unit features, and managing a team of system engineers to ensure seamless execution. Key Responsibilities Customer & Market Translation: translate customer requirements and emerging market trends into detailed technical specifications for electrified powertrain features. System Development & Validation Design, develop, and validate propulsion systems, including energy management strategies, torque delivery mechanisms, and drive mode functionalities. Hybrid Vehicle System Design Experience Vehicle Control/Supervisory Control Experience Transmission Control for Hybrids All-Wheel Drive Control Experience Team Leadership: manage and mentor system engineers to derive system-level requirements from technical specifications and ensure alignment with overall vehicle architecture. Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams to ensure cohesive system performance and compliance with regulatory standards. Documentation & Reporting: maintain comprehensive documentation of system requirements, validation results, and technical decisions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. Proven experience in electrified powertrain systems development. Strong understanding of energy management, torque control, and drive mode strategies. Experience managing engineering teams and system-level requirement derivation. Native German or EU citizenship. Preferred Skills Familiarity with automotive standards and safety regulations (ISO 26262, ASPICE). Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
