The Research Training Group comprises eleven subprojects at Philipps University in Marburg and analyzes the functions and metabolism of nucleotides and related topics in various microbial species. The Research Training Group offers a wide range of opportunities for scientific exchange and professional development in an interdisciplinary environment through annual symposia, workshops, and retreats, as well as monthly seminars. To this end, an additional doctoral position (65% TV-H E13, 3 years) and a budget for consumables will be provided, as well as access to laboratories and offices equipped with modern laboratory equipment. The research group is intended to complement the “MiNu” consortium and will receive support in establishing its own research topic and in all other matters related to the transition to scientific independence. Research in the fields of molecular microbiology, chemical biology, or bioinformatics is conducted at MiNu.
