On behalf of a well-established company in the industrial sector based in Duisburg, we are currently seeking a Controller (f/m/d) to strengthen their finance function. This is a full-time, permanent position with a strong focus on financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to join a dynamic environment and make a direct impact on decision-making at the management level.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Ownership of monthly reporting and performance analysis (P&L, Working Capital, Capex, etc.)
* Development and coordination of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
* Conducting profitability calculations, ad-hoc analyses, and supporting special projects
* Acting as a financial sparring partner to senior management and operational leads
* Serving as a key point of contact for internal and external audits
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with a focus on Finance/Controlling
* Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in a controlling or financial analysis role
* Sound knowledge of HGB and ideally IFRS accounting standards
* Proficiency with BI tools (ideally IBM Cognos TM1), ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 preferred), and Excel
* Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
* A team player with flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to high-quality work
