About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Centre Project Director to lead the delivery of a major construction project in Frankfurt, valued at €200 million. This senior job is focused on overseeing both CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems throughout the lifecycle of a mission-critical data centre development. The Project Director will be responsible for budget oversight, scheduling, inspections, compliance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are met. Key Responsibilities
* Monitor overall project progress, managing budgets and ensuring milestones are achieved
* Lead and oversee the implementation of CSA and MEP systems, ensuring full operational readiness
* Prepare detailed documentation for compliance, quality, and safety standards
* Manage internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving
* Ensure compliance with all German and EU health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations
* Conduct project inspections, lead reviews, and implement best practices
* Report regularly to senior leadership on project status, risks, and action plans
* Manage the project close-out process, ensuring completion documentation and lessons learned are captured
Key Requirements
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction project leadership, ideally with a main contractor
* Proven track record on mission-critical or high-tech projects (such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, or advanced manufacturing)
* Strong technical knowledge of CSA and MEP systems
* Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
* Comfortable managing large teams and complex budgets
* Fluent English (C2 level minimum); German highly advantageous
* Must have EU passport or unrestricted work rights in Germany (UK passport holders may be considered based on exact circumstances; visa sponsorship is not generally available)
