We are looking for an Business Partner (m/f/d) Commercial Analytics for our Operational Controlling Analytics Team. This position can be filled at the headquarters in Mannheim.
As Business Partner Commercial Analytics you will play a strategic and hands-on role in delivering actionable insights, analytical tools, and data-driven support to both central and local business functions. You will act as a critical link between the analytics team and commercial stakeholders, helping to shape decisions, optimize performance, and unlock value from data.
This role also includes ownership of Healthcare Intelligence initiatives — designing, developing, and managing data products that contribute to new revenue streams and enhance the value proposition for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Your Tasks
Business Partnering & Commercial Insights
1. Serve as the primary analytics liaison for central and local commercial teams (e.g., Corporate Competence Center Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Category Management).
2. Identify business needs and translate them into analytical projects and solutions.
3. Deliver proactive impactful insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, sales effectiveness, pricing, customer segmentation, and more.
4. Design and deliver user-friendly dashboards and performance tracking tools (e.g., KPIs, scorecards).
5. Drive adoption of analytics solutions by building strong relationships and ensuring understanding of outputs and implications.
Healthcare Intelligence & Product Development
6. Lead initiatives to generate new business opportunities and revenue streams on the basis of data-driven products
7. Define, develop, and manage scalable data products and services for external and internal use.
8. Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure proper data infrastructure and governance.
9. Act of center of excellence for data offerings and go-to-market strategies for local and central stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
10. Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on data and analytics opportunities.
11. Partner closely with IT, Compliance, and Legal to ensure alignment on analytics strategies and data usage policies.
12. Support change management and user training related to new analytics tools or processes.
Your Profile
Essential:
13. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
14. 5+ years of experience in a commercial analytics or business partnering role, ideally within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG industry.
15. Strong proficiency with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) and analytical software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
16. Proven track record of turning complex data into clear commercial recommendations.
17. Experience in developing and launching data products or services.
18. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
19. Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry or distribution markets.
20. Experience in pricing, salesforce effectiveness, or customer insights in a B2B environment.
21. Familiarity with GDPR and data governance best practices.
