At the heart of international trade lies a complex web of regulations and standards. As a key player in ensuring compliance, your role is pivotal in navigating this landscape.
The Global Export Control Officer plays a vital part in implementing international trade regulations across our divisions. This involves monitoring business activities, identifying potential risks, and developing measures to mitigate them.
You will work closely with the global export control network, governance, process, and technical managers to advise on various export control issues and ensure compliance with export control regulations by implementing and enforcing global and national laws and policies.
Responsibilities include:
* Issuing instructions for divisional governance
* Providing strategic input on export control and advising on export control requirements
* Coordinating internal and external audits
* Managing the blocking and release process for controlled and sensitive exports, including applications for export licenses
* Carrying out regular training and awareness measures to raise awareness of export control issues throughout the organization
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:
* University studies in law, business administration, or a comparable subject
* Proven knowledge of export control and professional experience in foreign trade
* Familiarity with ERP systems and good IT skills (Office, SAP, etc.)
* Excellent cross-hierarchical communication and interpersonal skills
* A strong compliance mentality and intercultural experience
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a structured, quality, and results-oriented manner
Our team operates flexibly and mobile, with 2-3 days per week spent on-site together. Business-fluent written and spoken German and English are required.
