THE ROLE
:
In our QA department, we ensure the quality of our Linux-based software IGEL OS in the cloud/server-based computing environment. Our QA engineers (m/f/d) work together with the software development team to ensure that only tested software that meets the highest quality standards is delivered to customers.
As Manager Quality Assurance (m/f/d), you will strengthen the QA management team and help to ensure that the QA teams (Core, Java, Linux and Test Automation) can work effectively and have a decisive influence on the quality of development. You will take responsibility for personnel, projects, technologies and processes with the QA department manager.
In order to expand further and strengthen our market position, we are looking for a Manager Quality Assurance (m/f/d) in Augsburg with immediate effect.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Managing a QA team: You are co-responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the QA teams and foster a motivated and performance-oriented working environment
* Developing and implementing QA strategies: You will define the quality objectives and standards for our software products (IGEL OS, Universal Management Suite (UMS), etc.) and cloud services and develop customized QA strategies to achieve these objectives
* Test Planning and Execution: You will coordinate and execute tests to ensure our products are bug-free and user-friendly. In doing so, you will work closely with the development team
* Defect management: you will monitor the defect process, prioritize defects and track their resolution to ensure continuous improvement in software quality
* Implementing QA Best Practices: You implement and promote QA best practices and tools to ensure efficient workflows and continuous improvement
* Reporting: You will prepare regular reports on the status of software quality and present them to management and other relevant stakeholders
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Completed studies in the field of computer science, software engineering or comparable training
* Several years of professional experience in the field of Quality Assurance, ideally with experience in leading a QA team
* Sound knowledge of software testing methods, test automation and QA tools
* Experience in developing and implementing QA strategies in agile software development environments
* Strong leadership skills and team spirit to motivate and develop the QA team
* Analytical mindset, problem solving skills, and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various internal teams and external stakeholders
* Passion for quality and a high level of quality awareness
* Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
