For our client, an multinational information technology services and consulting company, we are looking for an IT Service Transition Lead/Program Manager (100% remote).
Role Overview:
The Senior IT Transition Manager is responsible for the end-to-end transition of IT services from an incumbent provider or internal IT organization to our client The role ensures continuity of service, compliance with contractual obligations, and a controlled, low-risk transition into steady-state managed services.
Your tasks:
* Transition Strategy & Planning: Define transition strategy, develop detailed plans across people, process, technology, governance, and security; set milestones and acceptance criteria aligned with MSA and SOWs.
* Governance & Program Control: Establish and run governance forums, monitor KPIs, manage RAID logs, ensure ITIL adherence, and provide executive-level reporting.
* Service Tower Transition Management: Coordinate multi-tower transitions (Service Desk, Infrastructure, Network, Applications, Cloud, Security), manage dependencies, validate tooling integration, and baseline SLAs/OLAs/KPIs.
* Knowledge Transfer & Resource Onboarding: Plan and oversee knowledge transfer, shadowing, certifications; ensure process documentation and team readiness.
* Risk, Issue & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensure security, data protection, regulatory compliance, and manage access provisioning.
* Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare: Plan and execute cutover and go-live, coordinate incumbent exit, lead hypercare, and monitor early-life support.
* Vendor, Client & Incumbent Management: Act as primary interface, ensure incumbent cooperation, resolve disputes, and support commercial discussions.
* Transition Closure & Handover to BAU: Obtain formal service acceptance, hand over to operations teams, capture lessons learned, and deliver closure report.
Your Skills:
* Strong Service Desk and IT transition experience
* Proven experience in IT outsourcing or managed services transitions
* Solid understanding of ITIL / ITSM frameworks
* Experience with MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, OLAs
* Multi-tower, multi-vendor coordination
* Knowledge transfer, training, and team onboarding
* Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC, Remedy)
* Exposure to digital workplace, cloud, infrastructure, application, and security services
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
* good German speaking skills (min B2), English fluent
