Applications are invited for PhD positions in Gravitational-Wave Theory and Numerical Relativity at the Theoretical Physics Institute (TPI) of Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU Jena), Germany.
The positions are associated with the research group of Prof. Sebastiano Bernuzzi and funded by FSU Jena. The group pursues a broad and internationally recognized research programme in gravitational-wave astronomy, numerical relativity, and relativistic astrophysics. The Jena group is actively involved in major international collaborations, including the Einstein Telescope, Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), and the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration. The group is also a member of the Computational Relativity Collaboration (CoRe). The successful candidates are expected to conduct original research in one or more of the group’s core areas and to contribute actively to its scientific programme and collaborative activities.
