Job Description: Reporting to the Manager Product Development, you will be part of the Product Development team responsible for the development of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) based filters and modules. As a Design Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the product life cycle, starting from the definition of a product’s specification through the product development process all the way to its production launch. You will work with state-of-the-art computer-aided design and simulation tools to develop microwave acoustics components, as well as with various kinds of radio frequency (RF) test equipment to characterize these in the product development process. Extensive collaboration across departments will be essential for your successful work. What’s attractive about this opportunity? This position will continuously expose you to the technological challenges in the development of high-performance, miniature microwave acoustic components as a key facilitator for today’s wireless communication systems. You will work with various stakeholders in this process, involving customers, Sales, Product Marketing and various Engineering teams. You will work in a dynamic team focusing on developing RF solutions with leading edge performance. More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position: Contribution to and responsibility for product development projects for microwave acoustics (SAW) components and modules. Contribution to cross-functional product and technology development projects to shape our next generation of acoustic wave solutions. Ability to contribute to and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to develop basic software tools to support engineering projects. Requirements/Qualifications: Programming experience in Matlab, VBA and/or other relevant programming languages. Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English with ability to prepare and present technical data and documentation.Degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or comparable discipline. Up to 3 years experience Background / experience in RF engineering, i.e. EM- and circuit simulation tools (e.g. Keysight ADS) and measurement techniques. Background in microwave acoustic technology (SAW / BAW) through professional or academic experience is highly desirable. Competencies Programming experience in Matlab, VBA and/or other relevant programming languages. Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English with ability to prepare and present technical data and documentation.
