Purpose
The main objective of Market Operations & Optimization is the partnership management between wholesale stakeholders and SCM function and consequently it becomes the Single Point of Contact of Supply Chain within the clusters.
Market Operations & Optimization is responsible for managing and coordinating the complete process from order entry to delivery of all products to the customers according to the resource and product availability within the supply chain organization which satisfy the sales and demand needs of the customers and markets.
Market Operations & Optimization works to ensure maximum stock allocation and COTIF results for cluster. It also supports the business financial targets and the “on time” and “in full” delivery (COTIF) highlighting risk and/or opportunities through WE standard availability reporting tools.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide tracking availability information to key stakeholders at BU Category, Sales/Customer level with specific focus on not mapped order book demand for key accounts; provide transparency of the issues and pro-actively work with cross functional supply chain teams to drive corrective action and improvement where necessary ( i.e. A/F request)
* Drive order book conversion of the cluster by working with business key areas; evaluate speed and availability drivers, address availability and efficiency topics including the potential impact on net sales and customer relationship
* Investigate the drivers behind the COTIF vs COTA gap driving timely conversion; pro-actively communicating as necessary with WEOF to optimize DC productivity levels and driving order book conversion with Sales, Customer Service related to the pre-pack campaigns, launches according to financial and SCM requirements.
* Financial target alignment with the cluster including Controlling/Finance, Sales, Customer Service, validating order book availability and conversion; be instrumental in discussions regarding capacity planning, opportunities/constraints from DC’s acting as be key liaison to EOF, CS, Sales and Finance functions alike;
* Lead cross functional meetings providing Europe standard availability information to all key stakeholders within Customer Service; Analyze KPI-pack and provide business insights, performance drivers with specific focus on COTA-projection, not bought, availability, conversion;
* Manage and provide service excellence to all relevant interfaces to ensure order book execution, issue resolutions and integrity on time product availability, order book conversion and outbound delivery.
* Become the first and SPOC for wholesale teams. Work in partnership with CS to understand key cluster priorities addressing issues and risks providing solutions where possible including DC and Outbound processes. Support customer visits where applicable to represent supply chain addressing end to end topics such as (Booking In, special transportation requirements, carrier issues).
* Contribute and drive SCM projects to align best practices across Europe. Prepare, consolidate and bring transparency of business process/communication flows for the cluster and provide necessary updates on a regular basis according to new/aligned processes and tools Ensure education of local key stakeholders with the aim of improving end to end efficiencies;
* Be instrumental in local Sales sell in meetings providing standard supply chain education programs focusing on business efficiency and cost reduction.

* Review operational key performance indicators for Market Operations & Optimization ; achieve and exceed where possible; ensure team are fully aware of performance
* Effective management and development of team. Coach and train team members to work on their own development needs with Management support where necessary
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
* In depth end to end thinking/knowledge in supply chain
* Excellent knowledge of Sales, Customer Service processes
* Motivating and leading a team within a complex organization across multiple locations
* Ability to perform under pressure and to tight timelines constantly adapting to a change-oriented environment
* Proven ability to achieve and exceed goals, objectives and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organizational skills
* Strong Windows based software skills; SAP/AFS experience highly preferred
* Strong evidence of reporting and analytical skills across multiple reporting platforms
* Operational and commercial experience/mind-set
* Demonstrated initiative and result driven orientation
* Fluent in English and local language
Qualifications
1. >7 years working experience in a supply chain environment
2. Management experience for at least 4 years
3. University degree and/or commercial training in the area of Sales, Logistics/Supply Chain preferred (or similar business experience)
