Hardware Electronics Engineer - Semiconductor / Automotive - Reutlingen, Germany (hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced Hardware Electronics Enginer to drive the development of hardware for new product introductions and applications in sensor technologies. You'll collaborate across firmware, software, and systems teams to deliver innovative, production-ready hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop hardware for new applications and customer demonstrators
* Create circuits, PCB layouts, and 3D models for prototypes and internal setups
* Collaborate with external partners and cross-functional teams
* Execute hardware testing and support product release
* Maintain and improve existing automotive hardware
* Support quality and operations teams with continuous improvement and failure analysis
Qualifications:
* Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
* Strong background in circuit design and PCB layout (Altium, Eagle, KiCad)
* Experience with 3D CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
* Hands-on mindset and maker mentality
* Familiarity with automotive hardware development
* Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and functional safety (ASIL) is a plus
* Experience with communication interfaces (LIN, I2C, SPI, CAN, Serial)
* Software/firmware knowledge is an advantage
* Fluent in English; German preferred for working with external partners
