Job Details
Job Title: SQL Database Architect
Job Type: 6 Months contract with possible extension
Language: Candidate should be fluent in English and German.
Experience: 15 years of IT experience and at least 5 years of experience on Azure Database Migration with technically guided managed and governed the team.
Responsibilities
* Configuring SQL Server HADR FCI AG in Azure with multiple subnets and multiple regions Availability set
* Configuring and Administering SecurityPoliciesResource Governing Azure Key Vault
* Migrating SQL Server from OnPremises to Azure Cloud using DMA DMS Azure Data Studio Log shipping Backup restore and various other migration methods
* Work with internal stakeholders, customer stakeholders and project managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly
* Driving the cloud solutioning Azure activities for large complex migration
* Plan Storage and Capacity Management and create logical models and build physical models
* Installing and configuring SQL Server from version 200x to 2022
* Hands-on experience on Windows and SQL Server issues and troubleshooting
Qualifications
* Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability in Azure
* On-Prem to Cloud upgrade of SQL Server from legacy version to latest versions in Azure
* Good knowledge in T-SQL scripting and PowerShell scripting
* Good understanding of database performance using various tools
* Conforming to client compliances and expectations
Certifications (Nice to have)
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate
Soft Skills
* Good customer connections
* Positive attitude and excellent communication skills to manage customer calls
* Prepare solution presentations
* Ability to work well in a team and strong problem-solving skills with good communication
* Fluency in English and German is required
