Talent acquisition team lead

Job Summary

As a key member of the West HR and recruiting team, this person will help us shape the future talent profile of West. The Talent Acquisition Team Lead will support the strategic hiring of Global Operations hourly and salaried talent across multiple sites Globally. The TA Team Lead will manage a small team of 4-6 geographically dispersed recruiters who will provide advisory capabilities for their assigned business function and deliver comprehensive recruitment strategies for current and future hiring needs. As the TA Team Leader you will partner with client stakeholders to develop, communicate, and execute jointly on a strategic recruitment plan. Your primary focus will also revolve around nurturing talent, coaching others and maintaining a fostering a positive team culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team with approximately 3-5 professional recruiting employees; this includes performance management, providing regular and ongoing performance feedback, coaching and support in problem solving with clients, candidates, team members, etc. to achieve recruiting outcomes
2. Helps to develop and lead the client’s talent strategy, working closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to learn the business’ priorities, goals and challenges and then build innovative and strategic staffing solutions
3. Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships throughout the assigned client groups including site leadership, HRBPs, Compensation partners and TA leadership
4. Utilizes extensive knowledge around recruiting and labor market trends; applying data to personal insight derived from years of experience within the function to effectively influence the client
5. Embraces talent analytics to provide strategic input to the business area around talent; ensure the business direction and talent goals are in alignment
6. Proactively seeks ways to increase efficiency, optimize tools and resources including regular assessment of requisition volumes and adjusting as needed
7. Implements full recruiting lifecycle for assigned client(s), sets expectations around timing and the labor market, and provides exemplary collaborative and consultative services for business partners

Communicates proactively and consistently with leaders and candidates throughout the course of the search to drive a positive experience for all stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities

Education

8. Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of Talent Acquisition

Work Experience

9. Minimum 8 years professional experience with experience in Talent Acquisition preferred
10. Must have experience with leading a team

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

11. Fluent at minimum B2 level in English, German and French (reading, writing and speaking)
12. Experience developing fully comprehensive sourcing/recruitment plans
13. Excellent consultative skills and proven success developing strong, collaborative relationships across multiple departments and levels
14. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
15. Ability to identify and nurture talent, providing guidance and support.
16. Highly organized and detail oriented
17. Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment goals.
18. A passion for helping others achieve their career aspirations.
19. Ability to lead cross-functional projects to completion, ability to organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and follow up on concurrent tasks and elevating issues or obtaining additional resources when necessary
20. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems and social media channels

Travel Requirements

5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

21. Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities
22. Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time
23. Read and interpret data, information and documents
24. Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
25. Ability to make independent and sound judgments
26. Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems
27. Mix of agency and in-house experience strongly preferred
28. Comprehensive understanding of compliance with OFCCP and GDPR
29. Program management experience
30. Familiarity with Employment Branding, social media and other related tools and marketing concepts
31. Experience in international recruiting
