Summary – Basic Function Of The Role
We are looking to recruit an Site Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time, on-site basis at our Kerpen facility.
This role will be responsible for the execution of the operational activities in the assigned branch. Ensuring delivery of reliable rental equipment, manufacturing operations, and products within the region, utilizing the support of the offices in the region and through liaison with facilities in other regions. Will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to Company policies across the region in respect of operational delivery and safety in particular.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
* Establishes safety as a value that guides all decisions in the organization
* Establishes excellence in customer service (internal/external) as a value that guides all decisions in the organization
* Establishes continuous improvement as a value in the organization that guides all decisions in the organization
* Ensures a proper management of the complete facility – maintenance of the building, utilities contract etc…
* Establishes and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that provides feedback on service operation process deliverables
* Develops long term relationship with all levels of personnel from senior management, engineers, contractors and field personnel to grow the business and strengthen our regional presence significantly
* Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. To follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times
Site Management
* Ensures all employees and visitors at the site adhere to site safety best practices
* Ensuring Enerpac/Hydratight standard procedures and rules are displayed and adhered to including LEAD (6S, Gemba walks etc.); ETC Values; branding; and notices are displayed and updated on notice boards
* Country and local laws are adhered to including those relating to HSSEQ, employee wellbeing etc…
* Holds a monthly town hall meeting with all employees to communicate site specific information and any regional or global information for sharing. Acts as site host to any visitors
* Acts as the "go to" person for any site related matters
* Prepares a weekly report to the relevant Director Service Operations to communicate any site issues and monitor progress/performance
* Responsible for ensuring that agreed work on the facility by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
HSSE And Quality
* Promotes an environment where reporting of safety and quality incidents are proactively reported as input for continuous improvement
* Ensures that service center processes are in accordance with ISO9001, ISO45001, and where applicable VCA requirements, including timely and thorough closure of "Corrective Action Requests"
* Expereince with TUV
Operations Management
* Builds and develops an operational infrastructure (facilities, personnel, services) to support the current and anticipated commercial needs of the region
* Leads the Service Operations team, manufacturing and service shop, to deliver results in accordance with the annual operating plan and forecasts, incl. FSE and asset availability
* Manages and controls inventory in compliance with company policy and procedure.
* Ensures that Operational Team members have a clear understanding of the customer requirements including safety protocols, scope of work, documentation requirements and work rules
* Plans FSE skills, competence development/training, in line with market requirements
Customer Service
* Supports sales to deliver professional technical quotations to our customers
* Develops good working relationships with key customers through customer visits and presentations
People Management
* Manages direct reports including annual PMP appraisals, setting of objectives, resolving performance issues, motivating and developing the Operations team
Skills And Competencies
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Good degree of commercial / cost control awareness
* Experience of working with Oracle, SFDC and / or a similar ERP system
* Experience of directing and leading large (remote) teams
* Execution on time and within relevant budgetary constraints
* Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education And Experience
* 10-15 years of relevant experience with proven track record, out of which minimal 5 years management experience
* Steel machining and manufacturing experience required.
* Knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic tooling an advantage
* Recognized Engineering Qualification an advantage
* Knowledge of relevant legislation about HSSEQ, regulations, best practice
