Overview
Business Development Director (m/w/d) at Real. Our client is one of the largest contract research institutes (Phase I and II) in Europe with over 40 years of international clinical drug development experience. Location: Rhein-Main area (remote work possible).
Responsibilities
* Development and implementation of a sales strategy for clinical study centers and lab services in line with the client’s growth objectives
* Proactively identify, approach and win new customers from the pharma and biotechnology sectors
* Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
* Own and manage the full business development cycle from lead generation to contract signing
* Represent the client at industry events and networking opportunities to present services and identify new business opportunities
* Organize and conduct customer visits and external meetings
* Collaborate closely with Business Operations and other commercial functions to ensure smooth project execution and customer focus
* Maintain and update the business development pipeline and revenue forecasts
Qualifications
* Proven success in business development in clinical research, CRO services or life sciences (required)
* Strong network in the pharma and biotechnology sector in Germany
* Experience selling complex clinical or laboratory services, ideally in Phase I & II
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
* Fluent German and English
* Goal-oriented, self-motivated with high sense of ownership and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, growth-focused environment
