We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team and lead pursuit engineering activities for our automotive energy solutions. This customer-facing role requires a dynamic individual with experience in complex systems and the ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously. This position will be based in a Clarios location: Hannover/ Limbach or Delbrück (Germany).
Key Responsibilities: What you will do
Lead pursuit engineering activities for automotive low voltage Lithium Ion batteries, Sodium Ion batteries, and super capacitors.
Collaborate with automotive customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored electronic solutions.
Design and develop electronic systems and components for energy storage solutions.
Work with Core Electronics Team to align electronic design to core platform designs as a starting baseline.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers from early customer engagement through project award.
Work with cross-functional engineering team to design energy storage systems to meet customer requirements with a specific focus on design for cost.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of electronic solutions.
Conduct electronic analysis, modeling, and simulation to ensure compliance with customer requirements and automotive standards.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in energy storage technologies.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience – Who We Look For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven engineering experience within the automotive industry, ideally with a strong focus on embedded PCBA electronics design and development.
Hands-on expertise with low-voltage energy storage systems.
Power electronics experience (DC/DC converters, inverters, power stages).
Solid understanding of automotive Functional Safety principles, especially ISO 26262.
Proficiency with electronic circuit design and simulation tools.
Knowledge of relevant automotive standards, regulations and qualification processes.
Ability to handle and coordinate multiple development activities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
Fluency in English; German language skills are highly desirable.
