Commencing on 1 September 2026. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (50 %) for 3 years. Full time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:
* This position is tied to working towards a doctorate
* Collaboration in research and teaching
* Imparting specialist knowledge to students and instruction in the application of scientific methods
* Carrying out independent research
* Collaboration in the infrastructure of the Studer working group
Our expectations:
* An above-average university degree (master's/diploma/state examination) in chemistry.
* Good command of written and spoken English is required.
* Experience and knowledge
o in research in the field of organic chemistry
o in standard analytical methods (e.g., NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, IR)
o in standard laboratory techniques (e.g., working under protective gas)
is required.
* Theoretical and practical experience
o in the allylation of arenes
o in total synthesis of natural products
o in the field of photocatalysis
o in the reductive desulphonylation
is required.
