Purpose of the role The Regional Sales Manager contributes to developing and executing successful sales strategies and plans for the territory under his/her responsibility. This leader plays a key role in building, training, and developing a highly engaged and successful sales force team. This leader builds and maintains close relationships with internal stakeholders, opinion leaders, and potential customers in the German market to achieve a successful re-launch, launch and post-launch of Madrigal’s asset(s) and disease awareness. Position Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Conduct field visits and coaching to ensure effective sales execution. Foster a collaborative, patient‑centric, and results‑driven culture. Sales & Market Strategy Execution: Develop and execute a strategic regional business plan. Identify and target key HCPs in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endocrinology. Analyze performance metrics and market data to optimize sales strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and key accounts. Educate providers on the therapy’s clinical benefits. Collaborate cross‑functionally with medical, market access, and commercial teams. Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards. Drive ethical sales practices while maintaining accurate documentation. Monitor competitive trends and proactively adjust strategies as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required Education & Experience: 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience with a strong track record. 2+ years in sales leadership (regional management preferred). Prior experience in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, or Endocrinology strongly preferred. Proven expertise in product launches and driving regional sales growth. Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building capabilities. Business acumen with the ability to develop and execute regional sales strategies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools. Travel & Location: Must reside within the assigned region with up to 50-65% travel required. Valid driver’s license required.
