Job Description
The Expert PMO in the S/4HANA Finance Transformation project plays a pivotal role in the operational steering of the project towards success by managing its complexities and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the transformation. This role involves close collaboration with business and IT leadership to drive the S/4HANA implementation.
* Project Management and Oversight: Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to all stakeholders' satisfaction. This includes driving crucial project processes, ensuring transparency, and coordinating with various stakeholders to manage the project backlog and implementation phases
* Strategic Alignment: Work with the steering committee and joint business/IT project leadership to develop a business transformation approach that aligns with the company's strategic vision
* Thorough situation analysis to anticipate potential problems before they materialize – e.g., by analysing required vs available capacity of a system integrator partner at various phases, making forecasts about potential landing of Build or Testing based on adapted extrapolation of the actual work velocity.
* Stakeholder Management: Facilitate detailed reviews and decision meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between the program team and external partners. Regularly update stakeholders and senior management on project progress
* Risk and Compliance Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices
Qualifications
* Experience: Proven track record (at least 4 years) in project management, preferably with experience in managing large-scale ERP or finance transformation projects. Experience in S/4HANA implementations is highly desirable
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
* Technical Skills: basic understanding of S/4HANA Finance and core business processes. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
* Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Leadership: Capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Ability to drive project agendas and suggest strategic decisions
* Languages: good command of English (written and spoken)
