We are looking for a Design Lead, Consumer (m/f/d)

As a Design Lead in the Consumer domain at Riverty your work will be about creating sustainable financial services by bringing human centricity to life in our organization, to better help us understand the world we design and build for. You will explore, analyze, communicate, and advocate on the topics surrounding bringing relevance in our services for the people they are aimed for.
You’ll join our international team of UX designers, UI designers, service designers, and UX writers, but you will work across the organization supporting your peers across Europe.
We work in a regionally-distributed-hybrid setup with twice a week expectation in the office, with occasional travel to meet up physically for team huddles or cross-functional workshops.
What you will do:
As a Design Lead, Consumer, you’d report to the Design Lead responsible for the Consumer, Checkout and Platform domains and lead a cross-disciplinary team of service designers, UX designers, and UX writers who help our users understand and navigate our services across consumer channels and touchpoints. They help connect and unify user journeys across the Riverty app and web app, with dependencies and connections to the webshop checkouts, invoicing, payments, and more.
Your time will mainly be spent:
* Coaching on craft, mentoring, and people-managing a team of distributed cross-disciplinary designers.
* Collaborating closely with other Design Leads, and with cross-functional partners in Product and Tech, ensuring alignment with business initiatives.
* Project management and planning of strategic objectives to integrate design solutions into the product development process to ensure expected product outcomes.
* Contributing to establishing and enforcing design standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness across all design initiatives within the organization.
* Advocating and being a voice for our customers, promoting a strong design culture, and fostering a human-centric mindset.
You will succeed in this role if you have the following skills:
* Excellent communication, business acumen, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex user requirements into design approaches and estimations.
* Experience conducting and facilitating product discovery workshops, user research, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
* Knowledge of agile frameworks and methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
* Proven proficiency in user-centered design principles and processes leveraging multiple design disciplines.
Nice to haves:
We would be especially excited if you have any of the following (but we’re also excited if you come learn with us):
* Experience with financial services or fintech products.
* Familiarity with product frameworks and development technologies.
* Experience with B2C, and/or B2B2C products.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and their application in design.
