The Systems function owner is a customer-facing role, requiring a deep technical understanding, while requiring the soft skills needed to interface with customers and other stakeholders. The SFO ensures cooperation with internal and external development teams to secure system deliverables.
Your role:
1. Overall owner of a feature or system functionality
2. Analyze requirements from customer and other stakeholders
3. Manage stakeholder requirements and act as stakeholder requirement owner
4. Develop/Clarify the requirements with stakeholders
5. Create and assign feature requirements
6. Act as driver for analyzing effort and cost for realizing the change request
7. Lead, Communicate and maintain function level status by coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders.
8. Make sure that the function is delivered to the customer with agreed scope on time and quality
9. Lead the Testing in the vehicle to calibrate and tune feature functions to different customers
10. Analyze technical issues related to the given function – verification of issues in the vehicle, driving and testing.
11. Link core deliverables with project timing
12. Compiling process-oriented metrics on stakeholder-level for the owned feature when required.
13. Customer problem reports and support
14. Compilation of uniquely prioritized list of open problem reports
15. Verifying fixed problem reports together with the customer and/or other competencies
16. Responsible for the compliance with APTIV processes and methods on SYS level
Your background:
17. BSc or MSc in electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent
18. 5 years or more work experience as systems engineer, product owner, function engineer or equivalent
19. Proven leadership skills and good judgment regarding systems, software, perception
20. Experience in the automotive and/or truck industry development (ISO26262, Regulations, etc.)
21. Experience in ASPIC
22. Experience working in an agile development environmen
23. Experience in Polarion / Doors
24. Basic programming skills in Matlab, Python or C/C++
25. Understanding of product development process
26. Fluent in English (written and spoken) and ideally good German language skills
27. The role might involve international and intercontinental travels multiple times a year
