Chief Operating Officer
Overview
I am working with a fast growing Pharma company who are looking for an experienced operations leader to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and scale business functions. This role will be responsible for overseeing logistics, procurement, and operational strategy while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in supply chain management and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Management & Efficiency – Develop and optimize cost structures to improve financial performance and operational scalability.
* Operational Strategy & Growth – Design and execute long-term strategies to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and support business expansion.
* Process Automation & Optimization – Identify areas for process improvement, implement automation solutions, and drive operational excellence.
* Compliance & Quality Assurance – Ensure that all operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements in collaboration with compliance teams.
* Team Leadership & Development – Lead and mentor a large team. Around 30 employees.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with executive leadership, investors, and internal departments to align operations with corporate objectives.
* Supplier & Partner Negotiations – Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers to optimize procurement and contract terms.
* Regulatory Coordination – Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to industry guidelines and leverage opportunities for market expansion.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience – Minimum five years in a senior operations role, preferably in a fast-growing or highly regulated industry.
* Industry Knowledge – Proven expertise in logistics, procurement, and supply chain management for product-based businesses.
* Strategic Thinking – Strong ability to develop, implement, and refine operational processes in alignment with company objectives.
* Leadership & Team Management – Demonstrated experience in building, leading, and mentoring teams to achieve performance excellence.
* Negotiation & Stakeholder Engagement – Skilled in vendor negotiations, investor relations, and regulatory interactions.
* Technical Skills – Familiarity with ERP systems, production planning software, and project management tools to support decision-making and process optimization.
