Intrapreneur in Residence – Reverse Logistics Innovation
You’ve maybe worked in corporate or close to a founder in a startup. You’ve seen the problem. Now build the solution.
Beam is the corporate venture builder of BEUMER Group — a global leader in intralogistics. We build startups that solve critical problems across the logistics and industrial sectors.
We are looking for experienced intrapreneurs to co-found startups with us. As an Intrapreneur in Residence, you’ll work through a validation phase for up to 18 months to test and prove one of our pre-validated venture opportunities. You will collaborate with Beam’s internal team and BEUMER experts to deeply understand the problem space, define the solution, and prepare for company formation.
We want you to validate and launch a B2B SaaS company focused on modernizing the reverse logistics infrastructure. If you have a background in innovation, supply chain, or returns logistics—and are ready to build your first company, we want to hear from you.
The Problem We're Tackling
As an example, EU collection rates for small electronics remain below 50%, far short of regulatory targets. Postal carriers, despite daily household access, are underutilized in product returns and circular logistics. Meanwhile, brands in all sectors face growing pressure to comply with regulations, all of which require traceability, disassembly data, and recovery tracking.
Your Background
You may not have founder-startup experience, but you demonstrate:
1. Strong corporate experience in logistics, supply chain innovation, or sustainability, ideally in CEP/postal operators, OEMs, or electronics recycling.
2. Deep exposure to returns or refurbishment workflows—especially with used electronics or retail reverse logistics.
3. Strategic thinking and a high degree of ambition to become a founder.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and political acumen; you know how to influence without authority.
5. A strong academic background (MBA or MSc preferred) and analytical fluency.
6. A proven track record in a doer mentality and creating results fast.
What You’ll Do
You will:
7. Conduct expert interviews across logistics, compliance, OEMs, retailers, and regulatory stakeholders.
8. Validate demand, unit economics, and regulatory urgency for returns orchestration and compliance tech.
9. Explore and test solution concepts. Define the MVP, build a founder-level solution narrative, and secure LOIs.
10. Collaborate with Beam’s in-house teams.
11. Pitch to Beam and BEUMER Group to secure funding and launch of the venture.
You Bring
12. Experience in corporate innovation, product, or operations roles in a startup.
13. Experience in or strong understanding of CEP operations, returns logistics, or the circular economy.
14. Familiarity with enterprise software, compliance reporting, or workflow automation.
15. A builder’s mindset, strong critical thinking, and ability to act autonomously.
16. Strong political acumen.
17. Readiness to go from zero to one in an uncertain and fast-moving environment.
18. A strong academic record.
19. You are fluent in English and comfortable operating in high-autonomy, high-responsibility roles. German language proficiency is a strong plus.

20. You’re not based in Berlin or cannot work in-person 3+ days/week
21. You don’t have experience or a genuine interest in aviation, logistics, or enterprise B2B
