Senior Manager / Associate Director Global MS&T

About the Role

A leading, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director to join its Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) function.

In this role, you will act as a global subject matter expert (SME) in upstream and/or downstream processing, supporting the delivery of complex biologics products across an international manufacturing network.

You will play a critical role in ensuring process consistency, robustness, and performance across internal sites and external partners, contributing directly to the successful commercialization of advanced therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for upstream and/or downstream manufacturing processes across a global network
• Act as a key interface with external manufacturing partners (e.g., CDMOs), ensuring alignment on technical standards and performance expectations
• Lead process harmonisation and standardisation initiatives across multiple sites
• Analyse manufacturing performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Own and drive technical lifecycle management, from late-stage development through commercial manufacturing and post-approval changes
• Support technology transfer, process validation, and troubleshooting activities

Experience

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
• Significant industry experience in biologics manufacturing, with strong exposure to upstream and/or downstream processing
• Experience working with external manufacturing partners/CDMOs in a global environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
