Tasks
* Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB and IAS/IFRS)
* Determintation, reconciliation and posting of prepaid expenses and accruals as well as other items of the general ledger
* Monthly reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
* Check of posting proposal lists of parked incoming invoices and payment proposal lists with regard to compliance with external and internal guidelines
* Handling of VAt returns & refunds, and statistics for German government
* Contact person for questions related to accounting according to HGB and IAS/IFRS
* Preparing the advance sales tax return
* Preparing of account reconciliations and integrity checking
* Maintaining Accounting Manuals & CoA descriptions & the correct use thereof
* Creation of statistics and evaluations
* Participation in cross-departmental projects
* Supporting Senior Manager of Accounting
Requirements
* Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting and/or commercial education with further training as an accountant (IHK), ideally as an international accountant (IHK)
* Several years of professional experience in the described field
* Excellent knowledge of the accounting regulations according to HGB and IAS/IFRS
* Excellent knowledge of the MS Office package, especially Excel
* Excellent knowledge in working with SAP/S4 Hana
* Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
