Overview
Service Delivery Manager role at SpaceOpal, as represented by Telespazio. SpaceOpal is the prime service operations contractor for the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System, providing high-quality positioning, navigation and timing services globally.
What Is Expected From You
* Coordination of system and segment operation alongside the service engineering team
* Coordination of technical and operational system-level aspects with operations managers (MOMs, SOMs and others) and engineers across Centers and Segments
* Ensure engineering and execution of routine and contingency system-level operations (SLOP) for system, segment and service evolutions
* Support overall system and service validation including planning, execution and reporting
* Proactively support Business Continuity tasks, particularly during on-call periods
* Support the Evolution Team in planning and coordinating system migrations and service transitions
* Maintain system and service knowledge and information
* Support continual service and operations documentation improvement based on evolutions
* Support system configuration management
* Support the implementation of start of operations and services with new releases, in coordination with management directions
* Coordinate contingency resolutions at system/service level with operations managers and the service engineering team
* On-call support
* Prepare, validate and authorize security procedures as required by operation and SECOPS requirements
* Test and validate security operations before and after satellite launch (e.g., SCTC, KVLT, SIOT, IOV campaigns)
* Coordinate security operations to support satellite launches
* Secure operations planning and analysis (routine)
* Coordinate PRS Service activities (GSMC/GMS)
* Support GSOV and simulation campaigns
* Contribute to operation reporting
* Coordinate CLA activities with GMS ops, GCS ops, HE, site and service SEC
* Coordinate and execute Long-Term Plan and Mid-Term Plan activities: collect activities needed for Service Provision, plan in three time-frames, inform stakeholders
* Interface for all GSOp Planning issues across SPO teams
* Identify planning conflicts and propose scheduling solutions
* Pre-define plans for disciplines (Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Mission Operations, Security Operations, User Service)
* Participate in Coordination and Planning Meetings, providing schedules and resolving conflicts
* Support Contracting Authority by preparing Long-Term and Mid-Term Plans: information interface with Contracting Authority
* Derive LEOP/IOT Timelines with SPO stakeholders
* Support Service Provision Prediction and KPI measurements
* Track planned activities across time-frames and provide feedback
* Support evolution to integrated planning, configuration and resources management system
* Schedule operations and deployment planning and evolution releases
* Support resource and availability management for a consistent plan
What You Offer
* University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Engineering, preferably Aerospace
* Proven experience in space industry, space operations or satellite services
* Good knowledge of satellite systems (at least subsystems)
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Fast decision making in case of service-impacting problems
* Ability to work in intercultural and geographically distributed environments
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Team player
* Willingness to travel to operator’s/SSEG sites as required
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Fluency in standard office tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.)
* Availability to travel to listed locations and other project locations in Europe: Fucino (IT), Madrid (ES)
* Eligible for security clearance from an EU Member State national security administration
