Your Role:
You’ll be the strategic and operational leader of People & Culture in Germany, reporting directly to the Country Manager with a matrix to the Chief People Officer. Key areas of responsibility include:
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
· Develop and implement national P&C strategy aligned with Heimstaden’s global goals
· Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to senior management
· Champion organizational design, workforce planning, and future skills strategy
· Lead transformation initiatives, including digitization, agile ways of working, and cultural change
Organizational Development & Talent Management
· Build and scale learning programs, succession planning, and leadership development
· Drive performance management and talent reviews with clear development outcomes
· Facilitate workforce planning and capability mapping across functions
· Shape a strong internal talent pipeline and manage critical roles across the business
Culture & Employee Experience
· Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and well-being initiatives
· Oversee implementation and follow-up of people surveys and cultural diagnostics
· Promote Heimstaden’s values through tangible programs and leadership enablement
· Lead employer branding strategy and talent attraction efforts in a competitive market
People Operations Excellence
· Oversee all HR operations, payroll, and administration with a focus on process optimization and automation
· Ensure local legal compliance, GDPR and ethical HR governance
· Develop effective frameworks for compensation, benefits, and reward strategy
· Monitor KPIs, analyze people data, and deliver actionable insights to leadership
Risk, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement
· Lead union relationships and collective agreement negotiations
· Ensure alignment with investor, regulatory, and sustainability reporting requirements
· Serve as point of contact for audits and external reporting obligations
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing local P&C team
· Promote a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous learning within the team
Qualifikationen
What You Bring:
· 7+ years of broad HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role with cross-functional exposure
· Proven track record of driving strategic HR transformation in dynamic, matrixed environments
· Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus
· Experience with HRIS (ideally Workday), and strong analytical capabilities
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German proficiency is a strong advantage.
· Strong leadership presence — you are entrepreneurial, influential, and a trusted partner
