Description
* Generate and analyse model requirements and specifications
* Conceptualise wind tunnel models, components, and test/calibration assemblies using CATIA V5
* Prepare documentation including stress reports and drawings
* Collaborate closely with wind tunnel model suppliers throughout fabrication to ensure manufacturability and quality
* Perform model acceptance at supplier sites
* Prepare geometries for in‑house 3D printing
* Fabricate components using in‑house 3D printing technologies
* Integrate, instrument, and calibrate wind tunnel models hands‑on in the aero lab
* Contribute to test preparation activities
* Support wind tunnel test execution at external facilities
Profile
* Practical technical training plus a Master's degree or certified state technician with extensive experience (mandatory)
* Minimum 3 years of design experience, including wind tunnel model design
* Experience conducting wind tunnel tests is an advantage
* Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques for wind tunnel models (metal machining: milling, turning; EDM; 3D printing)
* Strong experience with measurement systems used in wind tunnel environments
* Basic knowledge of structural analysis and electrical engineering
* English at negotiation level; very good German skills preferred/essential
* Advanced MS Office skills
* Excellent proficiency in CATIA V5 (design)
