As Material Compliance Manager (m/f/d) you drive global processes to meet requirements such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS, and other environmental directives. In cooperation with your stakeholders you will monitor the environmental regulatory landscape and seup up relevant processes.
The role is open in Fällanden, Switzerland and Ettlingen, Germany.
Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten
1. Ensure adherence to material-related regulations (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS, F-Gases) across all products
2. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on company products and processes
3. Develop, implement, and maintain compliance processes from material identification to CE marking
4. Coordinate exemption requests and manage documentation for regulatory authorities
5. Work closely with R&D, Procurement and other stakeholders to integrate compliance requirements into product development and sourcing
6. Support projects involving material substitution and sustainability initiatives
7. Maintain accurate compliance records and reporting systems
8. Provide guidance and training to internal teams on material compliance requirements and best practices
Qualifikationen
9. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
10. 4+ years of practical experience in Material Compliance or connected field (preferred analytical instrumentation, electrical, electronic industries)
11. Strong understanding of global material regulations (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS)
12. Familiarity with compliance tools and data management systems
13. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively
14. Solution-oriented mindset, able to analyse issues and implement practical outcomes
15. Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
16. Proactive approach, taking initiative and anticipating needs
17. Fluent in German and English
